On Tues., Dec. 16 the Doelle-Lahey Panel undertaking the Independent Aquaculture Regulatory Review for Nova Scotia released its final report.
We encourage everyone interested in the future of wild Atlantic salmon in Nova Scotia, and in the potential for a more balanced consideration of inshore waters usage to scan through this document.
A good place to start is the Executive Summary that includes core conclusions, beginning on page vii.
The document can be downloaded directly from this page with a link to the 175-page document from the bottom of this page, or by going to the Doelle-Lahey Panel Updates page.
As with any report, the key will be in the implementation of the recommendations.
