About the Role:
As a Donor Support – Database Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our development department. Your primary responsibility will be to create and maintain secure, accurate, and usable donor records and reports. You will assist with database maintenance, develop reports, and ensure the optimization of our database procedures.
Located at our Chamcook, NB office this role will report directly to the Membership Manager and is an in-person position with some flexibility to work from home when necessary. Accuracy is of the utmost importance with this role due to the multi-step data entry process, therefore attention to detail is a key skill.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process incoming gifts and outgoing responses according to our gift acceptance policy and protocol.
- Assist with the creation and execution of queries for other Development team members and develop reports based on queries to analyze campaign performance and effectiveness.
- Assist with reporting required for annual audits and charity returns.
- Maintain and develop SOPs, and improve database procedures and optimization
Qualifications, Education and Experience:
- Post-secondary or equivalent experience preferred, especially in office administration, IT, or database management.
- Entry level position: prior experience not required, willing to train the right candidate
- Technical skills, excellent computer literacy, comfort using Microsoft Suite, including high-level Excel skills. Experience with data entry and analysis and/or web-based database systems considered an asset.
- Soft skills, financial numeracy, problem solving, verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
