The St. Mary's River Association (SMRA) is a multi-generational organization of devoted volunteers. Watch as they help with crucial kelt tagging efforts, and learn about their long-term project to restore freshwater habitat for Atlantic salmon and brook trout. 

The SMRA's work has been so successful that Atlantic salmon seem to be making a historic comeback on the river. It's more evidence of the power of volunteers, and the important work that people do for Atlantic salmon.
