Take action: say no to Mowi's Newfoundland expansion plan

2.2 million extra smolt and new sea cages planned for the south coast
Aug 30, 2023
Mowi, the largest salmon aquaculture company in the world, wants to expand its hatchery in Stephenville and add 2.2 million more fish to new and existing sea cages on Newfoundland's south coast.

Bernard Davis, Newfoundland and Labrador's Minister of Environment and Climate Change, will decide on September 23rd if the company needs to complete a full environmental impact assessment or can proceed immediately.

Tell the minister and his team that wild fish and the environment matter, and a full assessment is the only choice. Send a letter by filling out the form below.
