Eric Roberts
Chairman
Eric Roberts is a co-founder of Valence Advantage Life Sciences and has over 25 years of experience in investment banking and private equity. He held senior roles at Lehman Brothers and Dillon, Read & Co. Mr. Roberts serves on the board of Invuity Inc. and is a Trustee of the American Museum of Fly Fishing. He earned a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Donald Calder
Vice Chairman & Treasurer
Donald Calder is the former Chairman of Clear Harbor Asset Management and former President of G.L. Ohrstrom & Co. He has held numerous executive and board positions throughout his career.
Mr. Calder currently serves as a Director of Central Securities Corporation and the Atlantic Salmon Federation (US). He is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Business School and served in the U.S. Navy.
Tracey Clarke
Secretary
Tracey Clarke is a retired executive with a 30-year career in corporate strategy and technology, including leadership roles at IBM and PwC. She is actively engaged in the conservation and sporting communities.
She is a member of the Woman Flyfishers Club and Chesapeake Women Anglers. Tracey resides in New Jersey and travels extensively for fishing and hunting.
Mark Colman
Mark Colman is the founder of Alta Capital LLC and brings over 25 years of experience in investment banking and capital markets. He currently serves on the boards of Tombill Mines Ltd. and the Tri-State Alpine Ski Racing Association.
Mark holds both a B.A., magna cum laude, and an M.B.A. from Harvard University. He is based in the United States and holds dual American and British citizenship.
Alex Taylor
Alex Taylor is Chairman and CEO of Cox Enterprises, leading strategic investments across broadband, automotive, media, and sustainability sectors. He serves on the boards of the Atlantic Salmon Federation, PATH Foundation, the Carter Center, and Vanderbilt University.
Alex holds a degree in Human and Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University and resides in Atlanta.
John Cornell
John Cornell is a retired partner of the law firm Jones Day, where he specialized in employee benefits and executive compensation. He is a former Trustee and Trustee Emeritus of Colby College and serves on the board of the Atlantic Salmon Federation (US).
Mr. Cornell is admitted to the Maine and New York Bars and is a member of the Anglers’ Club of New York and the Megantic Fish and Game Corporation.

Brian Porter
Chairman
Brian Porter served as CEO of Scotiabank from 2013 to 2023 and currently chairs the University Health Network Board of Trustees and Huron University College’s Board of Governors. He holds a B.Comm. from Dalhousie University, honorary Doctor of Laws degrees from Dalhousie and Ryerson Universities, and completed Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.
Brian is Chair of the Atlantic Salmon Board (Canada) and serves on several corporate boards. He is active in arts communities and received the King Charles III Coronation Medal in 2025 for his dedicated service to the province.
Ernest Nutter
Vice Chairman
Ernest Nutter is a Toronto-based investment professional with Capital Group, specializing in global mining finance. He previously led RBC’s Global Mining Research team and chaired RBC Dominion Securities’ Strategic Planning Committee.
Mr. Nutter holds a B.Sc. in Geology from Dalhousie University and has authored numerous industry publications.
Stephen Lloyd
Stephen Lloyd is a partner at Dentons Canada, practicing corporate commercial law with a focus on the forest products sector. He serves on multiple boards, including American Friends of Canadian Nature and the Bishop’s University Foundation. He is a Councillor in Barkmere, Quebec, and has led conservation efforts through the Association for the Protection of Angell Woods. Mr. Lloyd holds a B.A. in Economics from Bishop’s University and a law degree from McGill University.
Tim MacDonald
Tim MacDonald is a retired business executive and philanthropist from Stratford, Ontario. He served as President of Ideal Supply for 25 years before retiring in 2021. Tim has been a board member of the Atlantic Salmon Federation since 2014 and currently serves as Canadian Chair of Development.
He was appointed to the Order of Canada in 2018.
Susan McArthur
Susan McArthur is the founder of LockDocs Inc. and has over 35 years of experience in finance, real estate technology, and insurance. She is a former Chair of the Canada Revenue Agency Board of Management and has served on several public company boards.
Susan is active in public service and veterans’ support initiatives. She completed the ICD program at Rotman School of Management and holds a degree in Political Science from Western University.
John Thompson
John Thompson is the former Executive Vice-Chair of IBM Corporation and former CEO of IBM Canada. He also served as Chair of TD Bank and held board positions with Royal Philips NV and Thomson Reuters. Mr. Thompson was Chancellor of Western University and a Director of the Canadian Conference Board. He was appointed Officer of the Order of Canada in 2012. He resides in Toronto.
