E.U. Curtis Bohlen (Honorary)

Curtis “Buff” Bohlen of Washington, D.C., is retired from U.S. government service, having served as Assistant Secretary for Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs at the State Department. He previously was Deputy Assistant Secretary for Fish and Wildlife and Parks at the Interior Department, supervising the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the National Park Service, and served as a special advisor to the Secretary of the Interior.

Buff also held senior roles at the World Wildlife Fund and was an embassy officer in Egypt and Afghanistan. He currently serves on the board of Ocean Conservancy. In 2002, he received the ASF’s Lee Wulff Salmon Conservation Award for his work on the salmon conservation agreement with Greenland.
