William Mclanahan
Will Mclanahan is a Senior Portfolio Manager at Moore Capital Management, where he has worked since 2011. He leads a global equities business with a focus on financials, technology, data infrastructure, and consumer sectors. Employing a range of long/short strategies—including macro, thematic, and stock-specific—he manages a team of six analysts. Prior to joining Moore, Will was a Senior Partner at Level Global Investors, where he oversaw all non-technology investment strategies and helped build the firm’s financials practice as part of its founding employee group. He began his career at Chemical Bank and later worked in the long-only space at Sound Shore Management. He holds degrees from Georgetown University and Columbia Business School.
Will lives in New York City with his wife and has three adult children. He is an avid sportsman and conservationist, and in addition to his involvement with the Atlantic Salmon Federation, he serves on the Board of the Peconic Baykeepers.
