Cooke Aquaculture’s Cold Ocean Salmon has reported infectious salmon anemia (ISA) at another one of its Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) farms.
On Aug. 7 the company reported a positive case of ISA at its Grip Cove farm near Hermitage, NL. The farm contains seven marine cage sites that hold approximately 489,000 Atlantic salmon.
Since Early July, the company has reported ISA outbreaks at four separate salmon farms operated by Cold Ocean Salmon in NL.
One farm, also near Hermitage, was forced in July to harvest 1.2 million fish due to an ISA impact.
